The best thing to do for your cervix is to stop smoking

You are twice as likely to develop cervical cancer than those who do not smoke.  Cervical cancer risk increases with the number of cigarettes smoked per day.  Stopping smoking reduces HPV risk.  HPV vauses cervical cancer.  The harmfull chemicals in tobacco affect the cells in the cervix.  7% of cervical cancers in the UK are linke to tobacco smoking.

Visiting HIRS

You can visit the HIRS Library to view the resources during our Look‘n’Book sessions at the following times:

Tuesday: 1.30 p.m. - 4.30 p.m.

Wednesday and Thursday: 9.30 a.m. - 12.30 p.m.

If you cannot visit at one of the Look‘n’Book times you can make an appointment but please do not just turn up at our premises as there will be no-one to see you outwith arranged times.
